Non-spoonies don’t seem to understand the concept of being exhausted but not being able to sleep

I always point out there’s a difference between being tired and sleepy. To me, sleepy is when your brain is shut off and ready to sleep. Tired though, is having the same physical exhaustion as sleepy without the brain that’s shut off. Often times, I’m tired but not sleepy because I’m in pain and my brain can’t chill out when it’s getting a ton of pain signals.
Staying up to 4am because I just can’t stop existing
