That realization..that grey lines and lowering the opacity of black lines are technically the same, but we believe they aren’t
in a vaccume i agree but combined with elements on other layers they are fundementallty different. i use 2 layers eacha t 50% opacity to make plaide when drawing my character. to achieve the same affect without changing the opacity would be very time consuming due to having to colour in every intersection between the lines
