m&ms taking a unique feature of a candy character (wearing boots) and changing them to normal shoes like everyone else to be “less controversial”, meanwhile they make a new female candy character and give her FUCKING BOOTS

I don’t care about if it’s “less sexy” or “problematic”, my issue is they could have easily given her a different kind of boots and not completely fuck up her character design. They literally just proved they have no problem with boots

and NOW they’re whining and crying about how people were upset about the boots so now they’re cancelling the candy characters

the fuck kind of world are we in

more importantly it’s obvious they’re doing this to cover up some other bad thing that has come to light about them, I’m sure.

Wasn’t that a deploy to distract people from finding out they are being sued for putting dangerous amounts of lead in the candy?

I’m not seeing anything about that, they had lead in jewelry a few years back that had to be recalled but why would it be in food?

Last time they pulled a stunt like this though, it was when they were called out for their involvement with slavery.

That’s because the lead and cadmium was in dove chocolates but they’re owned by the same parent company mars. Apparently there was dangerous levels of lead and cadmium in the chocolates

Ahhh okay, found it. Yep. of course.

dont forget last time they did it was to distract from mars, nestle and hershey being in hot water for child slave labour.
