It’s so interesting how glados and chells names are never said out loud and yet we all know what they are. chell especially because her name doesn’t even show up in subtitles or written on the side of her giant data disks or anything. Wheatley says his own name (“I did this! tiny little Wheatley did this!”), Cave says his own name (“Cave johnson here”), even Caroline says her own name in the recording with Cave (“Goodbye, Caroline”).

you have to understand. chell and glados are like probably the only characters directly present in the story who HAVE individual names that are never named out loud. and they are the main characters. even the corrupted cores are named by the fact sphere.
