C’mon guys, you’re making a huge deal out of this. Different people have different priorities and opinions. No need to go on a massive hate campaign over it, or you’re not much better than 99% of all the internet assholes out there

Let’s add that he didn’t even associate Jitters’ cat with a relation, he made him a thing and separate, disregarding Jitters relationship.

tbh the same could be said of a lot of different things, but humans don’t view it that way. For example, if we replaced it with a farmer’s cow. The farmer might be attached to the cow, but a huge amount of people would disagree and say, “Yes! Slaughter it for food!” The way people see the world and the things in the world differs leading to different opinions. Personally I’d say go ahead and use the money for the cat since Jitters’ and you obviously love the cat so much, but SOMEONE should defend Raiko besides himself. I’d like to remind everyone that almost everything said was in defense of something others had said. If fewer posts were made specifically making out Raiko to be an asshole for his opinions then we wouldn’t be in this mess now would we, hm..? In truth, people aren’t reacting much better than the generic internet asshole right now.

All he did was express his opinion, albeit in his usual way which probably didn’t help things, but still. He expressed an opinion and got a shitstorm for it.

No, I’m saying that in his ask he essentially stated that he didn’t view the cat as important as charity was. That was the opinion though he didn’t state is as that, and so that in addition with how people view him from previous encounters generated the whole shitstorm.

I’ll say this here as a follow-up to your long post about Raiko, I understand his point of view and I disagree with it. Secondly, Jitters is moving to my place in 10 days, and the cheapest option for bringing Jitters’ cat is an extra $100 to be on a place with him. Jitters needed that money in order to do so.

Do you know insulted you would be if you needed the money to bring a relative with you under limited time, were going to do it, only to have someone say, “donate to charity instead of bringing the relative?”

I’m not taking any sides on this. I’m trying to get people to understand his point of view before making countless hate posts. Okay, it’s the cheapest option and best option for you guys, great! I’m happy you could get your guys’ cat to come with. And you disagree, that’s fine too, but does it call for massive amounts of hate posts? I don’t think so. That’s what I’m saying.

You previously stated you’re defending him, but now you’re looking for the “why.” That’s good.

To answer, in my point of view, when it comes to someone who only speaks close-mindedly after repeated attempts of compromise, what better way to make them understand than with something they can relate to: their reputation.
