My point is that the cause of arguments are opinions and not objections. 

Two people can object to things like anti drug laws but have different opinions on said laws. One might just want marijuana legalized but the other might be a junkie and say everything should be legalized. The two could be arguing because the marijuana user sees believes drugs like meth and cocaine are too dangerous and should not be legalized. They both object to anti drug laws but their different opinions on the matter could lead to an argument.
