Mario Party has the same bullshit rules as all the Mario spinoffs.

Otherwise Mario would be in the doghouse for flirting with his ex Pauline in Mario VS Donkey Kong, every character would get their licenses revoked in Mario Kart, and don’t even get me started on the sports games, where mortal enemies become best of friends and vice versa.
