It is a hoax. 4chan has been trying very hard in recent weeks to hijack any social justice movement. I also read, with my own eyes, the thread where they were discussing how to inject specially designed malware that would attack tumblr and its users instead.
Why would you be downloading cheats?
Yes. It’s not a hoax because you read it on the internet. Everything on the internet is true.
