Guys, I had a thought. What if the entire series is the Doctors memories. Memories can’t be trusted after years and it’s been over 1000 years since he and Donna went to Pompeii. What if his memories are blurred and he replaced the face of the father with his own face without realizing it and replaced the daughter with amy?
Replacing faces you don’t remember with those you do.
