The rule is true. I’ve been set free from a class ten times in one year because of it.

We once got set free in junior year because of the sub. We had a sub for a few months because our teacher gave birth and one day the sub forgot to leave any note to let us know we were in the library that day so she was in the library for 45 minutes as one of my classmates got past hte blocker onto netflix and we were watching doctor who. She yelled at us because those of us who signed up for the classes text notifications would know and not a single person in my class signed up.
