I don’t understand parents. A dad is fussing at a kid in Michaels because the kid wants all the supplies for a school project today. He doesn’t need it all today but he wants it all today to get it done. The dad is fussing because the supplies are expensive. I don’t see the issue. Your kid wants to get it done. What kind of message does that send to him?

You should only try to get things out of the way when you have money

Yeah but don’t FUSS at the kid for that though. That’s negative energy and the kid is going to pick up on that. They’re going to go “I’m being fussed at so I must have done something wrong.” Just explain that you can’t get all the supplies. See if you can get some maybe? If not make a list and get it when you DO have money.

Fussing at the kid is not going to solve anything. Especially when the kid only wants to do a good job in school.

Well, school work is BS. Schools will assign projects but no way to do it properly. I almost failed calculus because of a project. We had a thirty minute study period to get schoolwork done but my study room was in a sculpting class. now, we were not allowed to leave the class to go to other teachers and get help we need. In all reality, it actually hut the students because it took time out of students normal classes to put them in a room where you could do nothing.
So I had this calculus project that needed to be done and I ditched my study class to go to a computer lab to work on it. The AP was brought in and when I explained that I was in there, working on a project, he yelled at me not to back talk and I got a week of iss. Luckily, iss has unmonitored computers so I was able to finish my project and I got a 90 on it.
