I had a slightly horrific thought about this scene. If a body doesn’t contain a soul, or entity, or whatever, does that mean it’s dead?
Does this mean
that for a few seconds
Dipper was laying there dead on stage?
The answer is yes. Those few seconds when bill was out and dipper wasn’t in yet he was in fact dead.
Even more horrifying than when Soos technically died and became a zombie.
