Alright, now that I walked away from our argument a bit, After taking a break, I decided we should restart our argument since I think I lost track of what we were arguing about and started to ramble through fatigue. Now since this is tumblr, we can use the reblog system and I can keep track of the main point better plus since it's not real-time we can take as long as we want to make our arguments, so do you want to start over? it's your call

Alright, let’s talk about he physics of time within a fictional game and why the official timeline is wrong.

Okay. So, timeline splits and universe branches are different. If link dies then that branches out of a universe because it is a different link from the one who goes stops ganon twice. The timeline split is caused BECAUSE it is one link that stops ganon in the future and then again in the past. He left behind a future that will be flooded after rebuilding and lived and died in a past where ganon was “executed” by the old sages in the gerudo desert.

One link.

Just one.

That is why the official timeline is wrong. It’s not a timeline because it has a branch where the hero dies before stopping ganon. Link cannot both die before stopping ganon and still stop ganon within the same universe because his death would split the universe, not the timeline. One where  he dies and one where he lives. The universe where he dies is different than the one where he lives meaning that the only way for the official “timeline” to be correct is if they called it  the zelda multiverse explination instead or by making the third split be in skyward sword, not OoT.

Now this all started because I suggested that the way to fix it is ti make the games without ganon (four swords and minish cap) in the skyward sword timeline where demise was killed by the giant statue because giriham goes to the past and revives him. After being defeated, demise curses link to be in an everlasting cycle of fighting his hated. This curse is why link is reincarnated as the hero and ganon is reincarnated as the personification of demises hatred.

Now, like in OoT, this splits a timeline. Because there’s the timeline where demise is killed by a statue and never cursed link so there would be no ganon and one where demise dise was killed and cursed link so there will be ganons.

So what I am saying is that there ARE three splits in the timeline but the third one is in skyward sword, not in OoT with the other ones.
