Normally that is true but pearl is a gem and dancing with a partner usually leads to fusion, which is a serious thing to them. Fusion is a bond between to people, a powerful bond, I mean look at garnet. So by extension, dancing is similar. Remember how offended she was when greg first asked her to dance? That’s because dancing is more serious to them. When she finally danced with greg, it wasn’t just a dance, it was somewhat a fusion. That is what makes it no different than when she danced with rose to make rainbow quartz.
Also the point of that post was that she doesn’t despise men. Hell, the only one she ever despised was greg because she blamed him for roses death, but she finally accepted it wasn’t his fault and he lost her too. It was roses choice. As for shrugging of mayor dewey, it’s not disgust towards men, it’s disgust towards humanity as a whole. Remember how she thought humans were a waste of time up until steven started getting her to actually get to know humans like connie?
Pearl: dances with greg the same way she danced with rose after accepting they both lost someone they loved. Stopped blaming him for roses choice and started seeing what rose saw in him.
How about you don’t, because even if pearl wasn’t in love with rose like that it would still be horribly disrespectful for pearl to do that to rose and she would never, EITHER WAY. So stop trying to find a way to be a cringy shit and enjoy the fucking show. 💕

As far as we know, Pearl never danced with a human before. We only see her dancing with the gems and no one else.
So to have Greg of all people, insist on dancing together, she snaps. She believed fusion was the ultimate connection between gems. Yet Greg was able to connect with Rose on another level.
Fusion is kind of a big deal for her. Same with Garnet but on a different standpoint. She hated that, so having Greg attempt to dance with her in order to bond was out of the question.
To have Pearl finally offer her hand to Greg to dance is a great step foward. They finally fused. Their friendship is blooming.
You know, if you said fusion was just friendship when rainbow quartz happened, rosepearl shippers would have lynched you. His isn’t just friendship, pearl “fusing” with greg means she’s developing feelings. It’s probably not even out of nowhere either because remember how her first dream was about greg?
