It is much easier to display your status by wearing gems around your neck than it is to carry a large portrait. I assume that’s what you mean by “carrying yourself” after all, that’s all your company really has, class wise.

First off, nothing below pure paint has any worth. Second, There is no  such thing as a pure earth pony, or rather, no easy way to prove they are pure. Last, all paint unicorns worhtless to society. The only ones actually worthy of their nobility are painted pegasi.
