OK so, Elwurd is reported to be someone who “knows your mom” thus spawning the theory that she is in cahoots with Joey’s mom.
Now at first I thought that either Marvus’s “texting your sister” thing either clarified Elwurd’s thing as a throwaway joke because Joey doesn’t have a sister, but then I realized,
She DOES have a sister.
