How painful must it have been for him? Both pieces just wanted to get back together. His very being split in two.
Also, this was by far the most unsettling and upsetting scene in the series. To see White take his gem out. His human form unable to walk, broken. His pink form, almost without a soul. Just pure power. Was spooky my dudes. But also that scene was beautifully animated.
some of yall haven’t seen namek take 71 episodes and it really shows.
I dont just mean that in the meme way i legit mean that because people these days call every episode where the plot isnt immediately solved, especially in the steven universe fandom. Steven universe has always been a slow burn with things being set up for a bigger pay off in the future. Filler is an episode in which nothing happens that contributes to the plot. where the people are in the same position they were when they started with no change whatsoever. escapism isnt filler because now they have backup on the way. shut the fuck up with yalls self entitled instant gratification ass. if yall wanna complain about filler go watch the original dragonball Z
There is some difference, mostly in release schedule. Yes the original airing of Dragon Ball Z had a lot of filler and the entirety of the Namek saga too roughly 70 episodes, but they also aired almost weekly and consistently. The same can’t be said for Steven Universe which is where much of the frustration comes from.
People bitch without reason all the time over the stupidest stuff, but it is less frustrating having to wait through a couple weeks of filler when you know the plot will resume in a couple weeks than it is to wait months on end to maybe get a handful of episodes, and have several of those be filler, especially when that’s the only time the series is shown period.
while that is true, my main point is that in regards to steven universe, people are calling non filler episodes filler just because the thing they WANTED to happen didnt happen in that particular episode. things DID happen in escapism but people claim that its filler because he didnt immediately escape. it woul dbe like calling hte divine water episode of the OG dragonball filler because he didnt go face king piccolo in that particular episode.
