Content creators will have bonus content that are exlusive to youtube red. Pewdiepie has confirmed that he’s going to have a horror show I think that will be red exclusive, but he’s not gonna be moving everything to be only youtube red. That would be a bad move since youtube vanilla would be the main source of income. It’s basically paying a little bit extra to get exclusive tings from creators. Also, youtube red will have it’s own LEGAL music listening thing that’s essentially spotify. And if you pay ten bucks to google music, I think it is, then you already have youtube red. because the same $10 that pays for it also pays for red.
I’m not saying that the YouTubers are greedy (though some are). Its just I don’t want these guys to lose their money and then it stops them from making content.
They aren’t going to be losing money. The only way that they would lose money is if every single person who subscribes to them not only got youtube red but also unsubbed from twitch and patreon as well as stop buying their merch. Hell, some even have their own websites which have adds so even that won’t stop them from getting money and youtube red will only have bonus content. They aren’t going to move completely from youtube to youtube red.
People who are overreacting about youtube red either didn’t do any research on it or they are greedy and don’t want to support content creators.
Yeah I was trying to think “Maybe it won’t take off that much revenue” and hey you may be right. It is kinda sad though that some YouTubers are resorting to Twitch/Patreon just so they can make money.:(
Yes, it’s so sad that youtube is helping content creators earn money for their work. How dare they encourage people to support the people they enjoy watching. What evil it is in this world that people actually want to get payed for the work they do. how greedy it is for content creators to actually want money for the content they create.

Personally speaking I think its only bad for people who want to make money/revenue off of YT. I turned off ads for my YT until I gain revenue but we have adblock for something like this. Still if people want to use it, they have the right to use it.
except youtube and youtube red are different things.
The only way for people to not get any ad revenue is if every single one of their subscribers got youtube red and even then, they will still be getting a majoirty of their subscribers money.

Oh okay thats good. Why won’t they give you it just because you got a gmail account? That doesn’t make sense.
Because apparently at some point, they lost a lot of money due to people using hacked paypals connected to gmail accounts or something.
Not to sound ass-holeish or anything but I got Sai for free through legal means.

It’s not assholish, it’s rather expensive. I just would have payed for it if not for the fact that I can’t pay through paypal as long as I have a gemail account connected to it. I still got a legit version though from a friend.
