Can we talk for a minute about the impact Bill left on Dipper’s psyche

Dipper is terrified enough of Bill to point a memory gun at the person he looks up to

the terrified way he yells “PINETREE? IS THAT WHAT YOU WERE GOING TO CALL ME?”

Dipper being so terrified that he starts saying “trust no one trust no one” until Ford pulls him back into reality

This is a 12 year old child who has been scarred for life

To add in: one of the things Dipper is thinking about when he’s in the machine is EENIE MEENIE MINEY YOU! over and over again

Bill KILLED dipper. Twice. And dipper was a ghost for hours and mabel wasn’t listening to him when he tried telling her how bad the situation was. He can’t rely on his own sister because of bill. Dipper probably has PTSD considering the way he reacted and what was going on through his mind.

Not gonna lie, I am not a fan of people making characters out to be trans. Like, when people say dipper or lars is trans, it feels more like they want them to be special snowflakes. Part of it is because they don’t face any of the troubles that trans people actually face and part of it is because more often than not, the people who come up with these theories are not trans and are only writing these from an outside view.

Dipper isn’t trans. Lars isn’t trans. Danny Fenton isn’t trans. It kinda hurts when people insist that they are without knowing what it’s actually like to be trans.

Steven universe is a kids show

Gravity falls is a kids show

We bare bears is a kids show

Avatar and Korra are kids shows

(the original) teen titans was a kids show

star vs the forces of evil are kids shows

The best kids shows are ones that challenge children to think. The best kids shows give all characters depth. Saying poor writing is excusable because “it’s a kids show” is an insult to kids and kid shows everywhere. That is why I don’t like it when people say teen titans go shouldn’t be criticized because it’s a kids show.

so stan totally had a secret twin brother right. im not the first one to say this but,

im actually betting that his twin’s name was stanley. in dreamscapers when bill was remembering “stan pines” he was actually remembering stanley, which is why he didn’t say “stanford”. speaking of bill, if you look on his wheel you see both the symbol on stan’s hat and the glasses, meaning they’re 2 separate people.

perhaps stanford and stanley were searching for the secrets of gravity falls together, that’s why grunkle stan was so adamant about lying to the kids about the stuff going on to keep them safe, he knows how dangerous it is because he lost his brother to it?

also:

the “stanley mobile”. did stanford take stanley’s car after something happened to him?

and since stan and the kids share the same last name, stan must have had a brother, and that brother must have had a son, and that son is dipper and mabels dad. so “stanley” would be their grandfather. that would have made whatever happened to him hurt more for stanford, he already had a family by the time he disappeared. 

I like to buy into the theory that Bill had something to do with the disappearance of Stanley. Especially after this line.

He sounds like he has a little experience dealing with siblings before Dipper and Mabel.

I mean, weird shit was already happening in gravity falls before the books were written so what if stan and his brother wrote it. And after summoning bill, Grunkle Stan wrote in the red part “He can’t be trusted.” and “Do not summon at all cost!”

IT WASN’T STANLEY’S FAULT.

When Stanley bumped the machine in the science fair, he specifically picks up the grating on the side and puts it back together. The machine, though it smoked for a bit, didn’t stop moving; it kept going because it’s perpetual motion. Lee is very ginger with it; and hopes to god he doesn’t fuck it up.

COME MORNING THOUGH, the machine isn’t moving, the grate is unhinged again, and there is a blue spark that sets off n the inside, causing it to smoke.

BUT STANLEY DIDNT LEAVE THE MACHINE LIKE THAT. HE PUT THE GRATE BACK ON. HE MADE SURE THE MACHINE STILL MOVED.

SOMEONE ELSe, SOME THIRD PARTY, CAME IN AND MESSED WITH THE MACHINE.

WHAT IF IT WAS FUCKING BLENDIN BLANDIN?

WHAT IF HE WAS MAKING SURE THAT SHIT BROKE SO THE TWINS SEPARATED?

WHAT IF IT WAS A BILL AGENT WHO NEEDED THE TWINS APART?

WHOEVER DID IT, WE’RE GONNA FIND OUT, AND IT’S GONNA REPAIR THE STAN TWIN’S ENTIRE RELATIONSHIP!! THERE IS STILL HOPE FOR OUR STANS TO LOVE EACH OTHER YET!

All Stan ever wanted was to go sailing with his brother

but Stanford chose mysteries over him until it was too late…

Stan probably felt the same sadness when Dipper and Mabel chose to chase the gobblewonker than spend time with him. He was being replaced by mysteries again.

but in the end Dipper and Mabel realised what was important. Spending time with their Grunkle and although it may not have been with his brother, Stan had his dream come true, he got to spend time with his family, with the people he loved.

look how happy he looks.

in teh end, the mystery twins finally got to ride in the stan o’ war
