This is Goht today
A hint but not walkthrough for people playing majoras mask. it’s the earliest you can get the masks but not where to get them.
(does not include deku, goron, zora and fierce diety)
You can get six masks before even leaving the town once you get human again. (kafei mask, fairy mask, birb mask, keaton mask, postmans hat and bomb mask.)
in termina field you can get the dancing mask
After beating woodfall you can get the mask of scents and mask of truth
Before you enter snowhead temple, you can get the frog mask
here are some masks you can get after getting the zoras mask before the water temple:
all nights mask
bunny hood
lovers mask
crying luigi mask
romani mask
garo mask
Between beating the water temple and entering the stone tower temple you get two masks
the last mask is in the last dungeon.

This quest gets me every time.
I defeated Majora. I sold my keaton mask, the second mask I ever got and wore throughout the game, last. It was the first time since the second set of three days that I had no mask on for an extended period of time.
I sacrificed my the mask I wore throughout the game to make sure they did greet the morning together.

This quest gets me every time.
Best sidequest? How come?
Most zelda sidequests are fetch quests or collectathons.
Trade this thing for a useless thing, collect 100 of these things across the land to break a curse, with no real incentive other than you will get a thing at the end.
Anju and kafei quest though, it gives you a motivation. You aren’t told what you’re gonna get at the end. You can feel that they want so bad to be together. And knowing what’s gonna happen in three days, you can’t help but to pity them.
Don’t get me wrong, most of the majoras mask side quests are well done and you want to complete them for no other reason than to give them one last bit of happiness before the world ends.
But anju and kafei is so in depth and they put so much trust in you. I mean, you could totally fuck them over by not giving anju the pendant and when you help kafei get the mask, he will run to anjus home only to find it empty.
That shit fucks you up. I don’t know, it is by far the best in zelda because even if you have it done, you know the moon will still kill them.
that’s why I save it for last. I don’t do it until I’m ready to go into the moon.
Because I want them to be happy AND live.
Don't you get a special mask if you trade in every single mask to some masked kids JUST before the final boss?
Yes. I’m working on getting that on my first moon trip. The fierce diety mask, but it’s obvious I consider that the ultimate last mask. The last mask I need to get it is the lovers mask which I get from the Anju Kafei quest which I always do right before entering the moon within the same timeline. I mean, I had to do a bit of it to get the keaton mask and postmans hat but I didn’t finish it. I was saving it for last because it is by far the absolute best side quest in all of zelda.
