I read some funny reviews for paranorman.

According to some people:

  • A hero stopping a  person who was wrongfully murdered and is haunting the town as a ghost is a difficult plot to follow.
  • Dysfunctional families and school bullies as well as the witch hunts never existed in the real world
  • It’s not stop motion, just clunky cg
  • 7 year olds focus on a guy with a boyfriend when there are ghosts, zombies and car chases happening.
  • Kids are not supposed to be exposed to the truth about how the world works.
  • it was apparently supposed to be like Coraline rather than it’s own, stand alone, movie.

But in all reality, if these things are why you have a problem with the movie rather than valid reasons, then you are a big dumbass.

Also, I find it ironic that people will give the movie bad reviews because of the gay character when one of its morals was that you shouldn’t shun someone because they are born different than you.

Paranorman hits way to close to home. I will admit that I cried.

Me and probably most on this site know what it feels like to be the outcast and want to make people hurt.

But the moral of it is that you will never be truly alone and sometimes you should forgive people not for their sake but for yours.

It is a really good movie.

There is a lovely charm to stop motion.
Also, why was there a ghost in the living room? That is a room for living.
