What your theory on Pink Diamon now? (I kinda like your theories)
Anonymousive got a couple. either:
A) after white diamond shattered pink diamond, rose used her tears to adhere a shard of her to her own gem so that pink diamond would still be alive because rose didnt want anyone shattered. so effectively, pink diamond is still alive inside rose quartz which would explain how steven can have a memory of hers.
or
B) Pink diamond fused with a quartz soldier with a triangular gem facing down so that she would appear like a full diamond. the only one who would know would be yellow and probably white diamond. When rose poofed the fused diamond and quartz, it would look like the gem was cleaved in two, AKA shattered
I think I know why jasper hates rose so much
it’s not just because rose killed pink diamond, look at how she looks when she says “my diamond”
It’s not that different from how pearl looked when mourning rose
So, jasper probably felt the same way about pink diamond that pearl did about rose and rose took it away from her.
But here’s the funny thing, rose was very against killing to the point where she bubbled her best soldier to prevent it from happening. That’s another reason I think she’s pink diamond. She probably killed pink diamond in the same way darth vader killed anikin skywalker.
Now think about this, jasper is a perfect quartz. A perfect quartz from beta kindergarten. She is the epitome of what a quartz should be, strong and for homeworld. So imagine how she would react when her diamond starts taking in rejects and defects to go against homeworld. it would feel like betrayal to her. So she not only resents rose for “killing” pink diamond, but for choosing the lesser gems over her.
Horrifying thought
Steven can possess more than just melons he created. This means rose could do the same. Now why would rose need to possess people? Perhaps that was her greatest power? The ability to temporarily possess enemy leaders and sabotage their advances. Either way, with this revelation, I trust rose even less now.
I would believe in rose quartz=pink diamond if someone could give me a reasonable explanation for 4 things:
- why doesn’t steven know already? Shouldn’t the gems have told him that his mother was a ruler who turned away from her empire because she believed that everyone was equal?
- If the gems haven’t told him for a good reason, surely he would have noticed a GIANT MURAL OF HIS MOTHER in “It could have been great” and like…. commented on it?
- The other diamonds are HUGE. And as far as we can tell kinda spindly. Rose is tall but not as tall as they are, and shes nice and round.
- Seriously explain the gem inconsistancy. Now we’ve seen that the other 3 gems have diamonds shaped like ♢, why would rose’s be the only one shaped like a circle? I used to subsribe to the theory that rose had a gem shaped like 💎 and we just see it from above, but now even that would be inconsistant from the rest of the diamonds.
The more I think about it, the more I’m convinced that rose CAN’T be pink diamond, but I would really like to hear other theories about possible explanation for these points. There’s a lot of good evidence FOR the rose diamond theory and I used to believe, so I haven’t written it off entirely yet.
1) They didn’t even tell steven they were aliens until lapis arrived. And they didn’t even explain anyhting about the diamonds. Peridot did.
2) We’ve really only seen ONE diamond. Blue diamond should not be counted yet as her appearance in the garnet origin story does not match her lunar mural like yellow diamonds does.
Also, the only other place we’ve seen hints of there being four diamonds has the statue corrosponding with the pink one destroyed.
It is entirely possible that the Diamonds of homeworld attempted to destroy evidence of pink diamond for her treachery.
3) Gems can shape shift. They can also choose their basic form when regenerating. Rose could have regenerated smaller (which is not the same as shape shifting as it would be permenant until her next regeneration)
4) Same as point 2. We don’t actually know if blue diamonds cut is that shape. until we see another diamond that isn’t in a flashback, I think it’s still up for grabs.
So these are all the Diamond Authorities we got to see today. Blue Diamond, Yellow Diamond, and I’m assuming White Diamond (or they may just call her diamond idk). No Pink Diamond in sight yet.
These diamonds are so massive it’s making me second guess the whole Rose is Pink Diamond thing. She’s so much smaller than the diamonds.
Furthermore, from examining these pictures it looks as if White Diamond is the most powerful, since she appears to be in the most powerful stance.
I also noticed the other diamonds have their gems on their chests, but White Diamonds gem is on her forehead, possibly symbolizing she’s of higher ranking.
Of course this is all just speculation, not confirmed, but it’s really interesting. Today’s episode blew me away. So much new information to digest and new theories to make!!

You can see that there IS a pink diamond shape.
And going back to sworn to the sword
The pillar and statue corresponding to the pink stone is smashed. It is possible that after the rebellion, all monuments to pink diamond were destroyed due to her betrayal.
Also, look at blue diamonds mural
She has her face showing and isn’t shrouded in cloaks, she’s got no sleaves and her hair is long. the only thing similar to the answer is the placement of her gem
Meaning that what we see of the answer, including the size of the diamonds, could very well be how steven imagines it to be while garnet tells him.
