But more importantly, Vinyl and Octavias relationship. It’s very different from the fanon in a positive way. In fanon, it’s abusive and involves vinyl hurting octy and laughing while octy is in pain and octy absolutely despises vinyl.
In canon, they communicate and respect each others boundaries and opinions and search for compromises.
I want the ten minute extended remix of that fucking song though.
Okay, can I say something? I’m glad that these were the personalities. If the fans use these personalities when shipping then it’s fine. I like this vinyltavia.
The problem I had with fan personalities is that if a fan wrote this scene, vinyl would have played the song that wasn’t wedding appropriate even louder and caused tavi to get hurt. Then she would just laugh.
But this? This is a healthy way to do things. THey understand each other and respect each others opinion and look for compromise. This is a healthy relationship.
Ok, that whole episode was my favourite thing ever, but can we all please take a moment to appreciate how cute the Smooze is?
it comes to mind that nobody has ever seen the smooze before. hell, nobody has ever heard of it, including celestia and twilight with their infinite knowledge. who’s to say discord didn’t literally create this being, based on this weird purple slime monster from some dumb cartoon he used to watch when he was just a little chaos god, just to fuck with fluttershy?
I’ll admit, I was disappointed by the Smooze at first. We all saw the storyboard with its introduction, which was black and white pencil, and had eyes. So naturally, I thought it was going to be as awesome a throwback to the G1 villain as Tirek was. But this Smooze has no eyes, had the wrong gooeyness, doesn’t talk much less sing, and is even the wrong color!
And it means my WCP-600 might be Jossed. The horror!
Freaking awesome episode, all Discord shippers getting plenty of scenes and materials from this one I say. I’ll be hugely disappointed if I don’t see any pictures of the epic adventures that poor mail pony goes through while on duty. Just saying.
But, although Smooze here was pretty cute in his own right and caused plenty of fun scenes I’m looking forward to see the fandom artists and fic-writers to play with, I was disappointed by his use.
Maybe because, in my very limited childhood, My Little Pony the Movie starring the Smooze as a big threat to deal with was one of the thing things I had to watch with MLP and so watched it A LOT and had a huge respect for the Smooze as a plot device and monster, I was hoping they would save that for something much bigger than just a silly party pooper only eating glowy things…
Still freaking loved this episode though.
I ship tree hugger with smooze. And though this smooze wasn’t like the original smooze, it is possible that there are different types of smooze considering the first smooze was created without Flume and this smooze was found by discord.
It is entirely possible Smooze is a species rather than a character.
