So I bet you’re questioning how it’s possible that Smoky has a double-jointed arm, sort of like Sugilite, when they should have skin and bones from Steven’s body. Smoky’s the first kind of fusion just like them, so they’re unique! So just how is it possible for a fusion with a physical body not made entirely of light to have an arm like that? Well, after some thought, it’s obvious:
Smoky’s outer body is Amethyst’s light.
When Smoky unfused, Steven plopped out fully-formed and Ame reformed as light back into her regular state. That’s where we start! See, Steven didn’t come undone to fuse his flesh with Ame’s light…
Smoky’s so round because Steven is actually inside of their big belly.

I LOVE that Smokey Quartz is so confident and cheeky. We know these are traits that Steven and Amethyst both often have, but we haven’t seen them like that as much recently because this latest arc has dealt a lot with their insecurities and with both of them comparing themselves to other people. We’ve seen them bond even more over those insecurities and doubts and work to reassure each other, and then this was just such a beautiful culminating moment of all of that. Smokey Quartz is here to be themself and be great, and they know it.
Honestly I’m pretty sure the only reason Jasper keeps fucking off is so she doesn’t keep dropping plot reveals like its no thing.
She’s the only character in the (so far) recurring cast who’s seen what’s gone down on Homeworld between the rebellion and the present day. Peridot wasn’t made yet and Lapis was stuck on Earth.
The Crewniverse just keeps her behind lock and key because they don’t wanna reveal what’s hippity-happened on Homeworld yet.

I think I know why jasper hates rose so much
it’s not just because rose killed pink diamond, look at how she looks when she says “my diamond”
It’s not that different from how pearl looked when mourning rose
So, jasper probably felt the same way about pink diamond that pearl did about rose and rose took it away from her.
But here’s the funny thing, rose was very against killing to the point where she bubbled her best soldier to prevent it from happening. That’s another reason I think she’s pink diamond. She probably killed pink diamond in the same way darth vader killed anikin skywalker.
Now think about this, jasper is a perfect quartz. A perfect quartz from beta kindergarten. She is the epitome of what a quartz should be, strong and for homeworld. So imagine how she would react when her diamond starts taking in rejects and defects to go against homeworld. it would feel like betrayal to her. So she not only resents rose for “killing” pink diamond, but for choosing the lesser gems over her.
