Ok I absolutely loved We Need To Talk. Because we get to learn, after thinking for so long that Rose is this absolutely flawless and perfect being, that she actually did have a bunch of flaws and needed to grow and learn about others.
This also finally explains that one very weird line in “Story for Steven.”
So today we’ve learned that forced fusion is a possible thing. (WHICH IS WHAT I’VE BEEN TRYING TO TELL PEOPLE BUT NOOOO)

about the jasper being a fusion of gem shards theory
now that it’s been confirmed that gem shards can be forcefully fused in canon
I’d like to point a few things out.
all of the fusions (by choice) we’ve seen so far, have had a solid skin color that seems to be a mix of the two or more gems that make it up (excluding malachite bc she’s a fusion that includes jasper, i’m getting to that)
but the forced fusions were clearly not blended and instead look squished together
look at this shit^^^
now, where else have we seen this kind of skin before on a gem???

she has many characteristics of a fusion actually. so far we’ve only known gems to have pupils all the time if they are more than one gem!

I beleive that homeworld has been doing this for quite some time, and I think maybe jasper is the only successful “fusion” they’ve been able to create thus far.
and the way the forcefully fused gems we’ve seen, remind me of the build of malachites lower half
and isn’t it a little odd that there are THREE sets of arms when TWO gems fuse???
Also jasper is almost taller than garnet (A FUSION) so I’m pretty sure i’m not just talking nonsense at this point.

This is horrifying. In this SAME episode, Garnet explains how fusion works in regards to the individuals involved. They are still there, still aware, still coherent…
Fusion is an agreement, a partnership. We’ve been shown that it is BEAUTIFUL (Stevonnie) and POWERFUL (Garnet and Opal) and that the gems involved have to be in tune with each other or they fall apart (Opal).
We’ve seen a broken gem (Lapis) and how much pain she felt and how miserable she was, trapped and left alone simply because she had a crack.
And these poor gems were SHATTERED, a piece of them taken, forcibly FUSED, unable to separate because the gems themselves are clustered, left with a patchworked and mangled body that reaches out.
It reaches for Garnet - not to attack, there is no motion to insinuate threat - it just reaches and holds on to her
AND WE SEE THEM SCREAMING. Wordlessly. More prolonged than any other fushion mid-form we’ve seen by a long shot. They are in agony.
Something beautiful was twisted and left as an ugly, sickly thing.

Garnet even said they were members of the crystal gems, roses army. These are gems that ruby and sapphire knew. They were in so much pain that they reached out to garnet so she could kill them. They should have stayed dead. Like, I know people are like “lol mountain dew dorito from space” but this is actually serious. peridot has gone way too far. She has committed crimes against nature and needs to be stopped.
oh my god what the fuck i never got the impact of that line until now, that doesnt just mean the homeworld gems took random gem shards from the battlefield and fused them
that means rose and the crystal gems collected these shards and buried them respectfully after death, just as they would bury humans, homeworld gems literally fucking robbed and desecrated the graves of these gems took their remains and experimented on them holy fucking shit
