*IMAGINES STEVONNIE AFTER THIS EPISODE*

image

i like to imagine steven and connie fighting side by side in some big battle, and their fighting movements just start to flow more dance like, so they’re fighting and dancing at the same time without really realizing it and they just fuse in the middle of battle, and it just works into a seamless bad ass transition from fighting side by side to fighting as one that plays out too beautiful in my head to properly describe

And that’s pretty much what I think will happen.

If it’s kinda transparent but the healing liquid inside makes it look milky, the bubble could look a bit like this

The absolutely terrifying, staring-directly-into-your-soul look Steven gives pearl after blocking her attack on Connie in absolutely priceless

He just stares right up at her like, “I don’t even care that you’re training her, how dare you even think about hurting my warrior princess???”

I know everyone is saying that Connie is wearing an outfit from DBZ, but…I don’t think so? I think she’s wearing a “Kalaripayattu“ outfit?

Kalaripayattu is a Martial art which originated as a style in Kerala, during the early 13th Century AD. It is considered to be one of the oldest fighting system in existence. It is now practiced in Kerala, in contiguous parts of Tamil Nadu. It was originally practiced in northern and central parts of Kerala and the Tulunadu region of Karnataka.Kalaripayattu includes strikes, kicks, grappling, preset forms, weaponry and healing methods. Northern kalaripayattu is based on elegant and flexible movements, evasions, jumps and weapons training, while the southern “Adi Murai” style primarily follows the hard impact based techniques with priority on empty hand fighting and pressure point strikes. Both systems make use of internal and external concepts. (Wiki) Normally, kalaripayattu can be started at the age of seven, when the body is not stiff, less chance to damage. But it can be practiced at any age under the supervision of a well experienced master.

I think it would probably make more sense, considering Connie is Indian?? I mean, if you look at the sword Connie uses, it’s the same as the women in the picture I found via Google?? (Pearl’s sword is a rapier, btw. At least, so I believe) Also, it sorta looks like Connie is wielding a Khanda, or least a type of one?

image

Also Connie does a lot of Kalaripayattu type jumps and such?? Look, I’m not India, so I’m not a hundred percent sure and I could be way off, but it just seems more likely???

In love with Connies hair! And that it’s actually a real hairstyle!

I found it interesting that in Connie and Pearl’s song she states “deep down, you know you’re not meant for fighting” which, backed up by Sugar’s statement of the gems working together to be odd, I’d like to think that pearls have a very specialised job in the gemworld, that does not involve any sort of combat. Just a tidbit.

THere’s the theory that pearls are mainly meant to be servents to the diamonds which would explain her being in lesbians with rose considering there is even more evidence backing up the rose quartz/pink diamond theory.
