This probably explains why Garnet was SUPER excited in ‘Alone Together’ after seeing Connie and Steven fuse into Stevonnie.
She got to see someone else fuse out of love! Just like herself!

Wait I just realized something about Garnet
Ruby and Sapphire are so in sync they are practically one entity
that’s why Garnet has no multiple limbs, and the only anomaly is her third eye
Malachite had so many bodily mutations because Lapis despises Jasper
Then is it possible that stevonnie had no extra limbs because they were so in sync?
i didn’t even notice garnet’s shiny new look
Gems look slightly different after they retreat into their stones to regenerate and their change is visible in fusion
Look at opal before and after pearls retreat
Notice the slight difference in the waist? Ruby and Sapphire were forced into their stones for a while so there would be a slight costume change
So there’s the possibility that Ruby is blind. What if the reason is because she’s the one with future sight? What if she’s a blind seer?

RUBY IS BLIND. Steven scared her when he first speaks to her in the cell- she visibly jumps and looks around. When they are running through the halls, Steven tries to talk to her and she yells “Shh!! I cant see!!” because she wasn’t able to hear Sapphire’s singing!
