Punctuality - if you consider it punctual to show up at THE DRAMATIC MOMENT. Look, at least she’s started showing up; sometimes you have to reward behaviour that’s just sort of getting close to what you want just to get the ball rolling.
Perseverance - despite getting punch-dumped into Canada by Lapis she has regrouped and come up with a new plan (the fact that her plan is utterly weird and got her beaten up by two kids in a beautiful trenchcoat while losing a dog does not negate the perseverance)
Positivity - “Jaspers keep going until we get what we want.”
I’m gonna add something to this that I haven’t seen anyone talk about: The circles around the Diamonds are all the planets and moons they’ve colonized under their name. The score at the time the Moon Base was created seems to be: Yellow Diamond: 8 planets (2 in her hands) and 15 moons. White Diamond: 10 planets (11 assuming the one in her hands is a planet) and 4 moons. Blue Diamond: 4 planets and 3 moons. Pink Diamond: 1 planet and 1 moon, almost definitely Earth and Earth’s moon. So assuming the amount of planets one Diamond commands is indicative of her power/authority, White Diamond is at the top of the pecking order, followed by Yellow Diamond, then Blue Diamond, and lastly Pink Diamond.
That makes sense given the symbol:
My guess is, because of the emphasis on it, the planet in White Diamond’s hands is Homeworld itself. While all the diamonds rule it, it wouldn’t surprise me if White Diamond wanted a reminder that she was the one truly at the top.
One little thing that I really liked about Beta / Earthlings was that it sort of resolved a weird situation from earlier in the show.
Waaaaay back in The Return, when Peridot was coming back to Earth with “reinforcements,” I always though it was kinda weird how all the backup she got was just one other (admittedly tough) Gem. Now, though, we know that Jasper isn’t just some Gem enforcer– she is, in Peridot’s terms, “the ultimate Quartz” and likely one of the strongest soldiers Homeworld has ever had.
So they didn’t send Peridot back with “just one” bodyguard, they sent her back with thefucking Terminator.
rose quartz probably kept a lot of her powers a secret, along with 99% of the rest of her shit… her hairs so big cuz its full of secrets.
but then steven inherited her powers, and lapis was rly shocked to find out he could heal her
everyone seemed pretty surprised when he made a bunch of sentient watermelons
things like giving life and healing gems are pretty big powers, akin to something a diamond might use to grow her army by bestowing life into the gems in kindergartens, and to remain relatively immortal by healing herself if she’s damaged
i mean, these r literally godlike powers, and a quartz soldier has no business wielding anythin of the sort on the battlefield imo
dont’ forget about the mind jumping ability. It’s entirely possible that she created a quartz soldier for the sole purpose of creating a hero to fight the diamonds and then found a way to make it permanent by shattering diamond body.
