Imagine if ruby and sapphire fall off a cliff like amethyst did that one time and ruby just plummets to the ground while sapphire gracefully floats down.
- Threatened cosplayers and artists who don’t look or draw what they feel is “appropriate” to the show.
- Removing artists captions/tags from art posted on websites like Tumblr and/or reposting art in general.
- Frantically denying or making excuses for how character relationships are treated in the show (Ruby and Sapphire, Pearl and Rose, Pearl and Garnet, etc.)
- Bastardizing characters for acting or reacting realistically to relatable situations (especially Pearl).
- Spreading false information through the use of parody blogs as well as citing said sources when saying inflammatory things to the Steven Universe crew.
- Leaking screenshots or episode synopses that were not meant to be leaked.
- Chastising people who make nsfw content of the show when a.) a majority of said people put a specific tag on it that can easily be blacklisted to prevent people from seeing it (Stephen Galaxy) and b.) the creators actively encourage people to ship what they want, think what they want, and create what they want.
- Harassing crew members like Matt Burnett and Ian Jones Quartey over Twitter with incessantly stupid or backwards questions/notions (often with hilarious burns from Matt).
- Posting REAL REVIEWS to the Keystone Motel in Florida that can physically hurt said business in real life.
I’m sure I’ve missed a few things so feel free to add to this paltry list of transgressions these clods keep committing.
You left out
- Tried to bar others from watching/enjoying the show because of the desire to guard their pure fandom from others.
But that’s a pretty good list.
Don’t forget
-Demands more in depth characters and representation of mental illnesses only to complain when said mental illness is portrayed accurately (Like people freaking out over onion who is probably autistic)
I love how calm greg was throughout this entire episode like he finds sapphire unfused and freezing over their entire motel room and he’s just like “oh no where’s the other one.” And steven’s freaking out but greg is just like “nah lets just give them some space and get breakfast in the morning.” How much lesbian alien drama has this man witnessed. Like this was definitely a repeat occurrence for him and he just took it in stride like “shit happens, I’ve seen worse.” I just keep imagining little Greg when he’s first getting involved with the gems and he’s expecting a bunch of cool magical alien stuff but instead it’s like he walked right into an episode of the L word like this man has Seen Some Shit in his life like he is so numb to this right now

Another headcanon: Sapphire floats away when embarrassed.
Don’t get me wrong, I love pearl, she is one of my favorite gems, but she REALLY screwed up. I mean, enough to make sapphire and ruby defuse…..
That’s because fusion is something that garnet finds sacred. It’s only done when necessary. To see pearl, one of her own team members, use her like that… To see pearl treat fusion like it’s just some cheap tactic to make weak gems strong… That was where the line was crossed.
After seeing Onion Friend I’m convinced that Onion is meant to be autistic.
The way he acts reminds a lot of an autistic child. He speaks only to his family and has his own odd way of doing things that works for him. Steven is uncomfortable around him but his family obviously loves and accepts him the way he is. I think Onion broke into Steven’s house and stole his chips because he wanted Steven to play with him.
Onion tries to do things he likes to do with Steven, and when he didn’t respond well to the snake or the birthing video, Onion decides to show him his secret stash of GUYS and GALS. That must be Onion’s special interest, something precious to him that he knows he and Steven have in common. That moment when he gives him one of his toys proves to me that he wants Steven’s friendship for real, he just has an unconventional way of expressing that.
So uh… Can we please not compare Onion to the spawn of Satan anymore? It’s really uncomfortable for me as an autistic woman.
