Think about it, this kid whose barely old enough to drink successfully joined an inter-dimensional exploration crew as the chief security officer, able to fend off an all consuming force of destruction for 100 years while still being 22
you know what i just remembered? Merle insisted he needed to be shirtless to parlay. Now, playing chess with john completely shirtless for 50 cycles is funny in of itself. BUT think about how john learned how to parlay. Do you think john realized he didnt need to be shirtless? do you think in johns last moments of self awareness when talking to merle he wore no shirt?
